Vaccination in Slovenia
04.12.2009Vaccination is the most efficient method of protection against pandemic influenza, which is expected to spread more intensively among Slovenian population in the forthcoming months.
Vaccination against pandemic influenza is recommended for any adult, including pregnant women, and for all children over the age of six months. Foreign citizens with permanent or temporary domicile (for at least three months) and employees in diplomatic-consular offices in Slovenia can receive the vaccination under the same conditions as Slovenian citizens.
The vaccination is voluntary and the vaccine itself is free of charge for individuals, while the vaccine implementation costs 7 Euros. Researches show that the vaccine is effective and safe.
